Southland Fish & Game is looking for an experienced leader to take on the role of Manager following the resignation of the current Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction with the Council and developing and delivering an annual programme of work. Key aspects of the role include implementing statutory functions, achieving strategic priorities, and ensuring the voice of licence holders is championed.The Manager will also be responsible for advocating for the role of Fish & Game publicly with credibility and balance, as well as developing and maintaining constructive relationships with key stakeholders such as the national Council, regional groups and clubs, landowners, Iwi, and the wider community. Collaboration within the Council, field teams, and across regional and national Fish & Game networks will be essential in this role. Reporting to the volunteer Council, the Manager will play a central role in shaping a unified and constructive approach for the region.
