The Manager Arts, Culture & Place is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and people leadership across a diverse portfolio including arts, culture, libraries, festivals, events, and community and cultural hubs. This role involves managing services and assets to meet community needs and ensuring alignment with Council's Corporate Strategy and long-term vision, MV2040. The Manager will lead a multidisciplinary department, driving innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while overseeing service delivery, capital works programs, budgets, and compliance.The Manager Arts, Culture & Place plays a vital role in strengthening social connection, supporting lifelong learning, and activating vibrant cultural places where communities can thrive. This position requires strong leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse range of programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will have a passion for arts and culture, as well as experience in strategic planning, budget management, and stakeholder engagement. The Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of arts, culture, and place-making initiatives that contribute to the overall well-being and vibrancy of the community.
