This position requires a candidate with a strong background in emergency management and a proven track record of leadership in ensuring community safety. The ideal candidate will have a degree in emergency management, public or business administration, or a related field, along with at least six years of experience working in local government and three years in a supervisory role. They must have hands-on experience in emergency programs and Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) management, as well as a solid understanding of provincial legislation, including the BC Emergency Disaster and Management Act and related regulations.Candidates with equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered for this role.
