The client is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors who provide significant financial contributions. The role will focus on building long-term relationships with donors and driving engagement and support to help achieve revenue goals. The client’s mission centers on empowering individuals with disabilities through sport, recreation, and educational programs, including opportunities that bring together participants, families, and friends.
The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for donor research, donor appreciation, database management, and coordinating fundraising activities necessary to meet revenue targets. The position will build and maintain year-round relationships with individual donors through face-to-face cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship in partnership with senior leadership. The role is expected to develop and manage engagement activities designed to strengthen donor loyalty and support both immediate and planned giving goals.
Additional responsibilities include relationship-based fundraising efforts and strategic moves management to increase annual revenue, as well as representing the client at community events and fundraisers. The ideal candidate is expected to have demonstrated experience securing gifts at the $10,000 level and above, with a track record of leading donor strategies and sustaining high-quality donor engagement over time.
