Seeking a Major Gifts Officer. This role involves cultivating and stewarding high-capacity donors to build a major giving program and ensure the financial sustainability of the organization. The Major Gifts Officer will work closely with the Chief Development Officer, traveling throughout the Denver metro area to engage donors and attend events. A Precious Child aims to empower children in need by providing essentials like clothing and school supplies, working with over 300 agency partners to create a better future for Colorado youth.

The Major Gifts Officer will focus on securing gifts of $10,000 and above, aiming to raise $750,000 annually from high-net-worth individuals and corporate partners. This position requires a seasoned fundraiser with strong donor relationship management skills and a deep understanding of the Denver philanthropic landscape. Working closely with executive leadership, the Major Gifts Officer will play a key role in expanding fundraising capacity, deepening donor engagement, and developing a sustainable development strategy. Responsibilities include building and sustaining donor relationships, developing personalized moves management plans, and managing a portfolio of individual donors and prospects.

Qualified candidates will have at least 7 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a proven track record of securing significant gifts. Passion for A Precious Child's mission and a commitment to child and family empowerment are essential for success in this role. The Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for generating reports on fundraising performance, developing donor communications, and representing the organization at community and fundraising events.
