We are seeking a professional fundraiser and development leader who will provide visible, inspiring leadership to engage stakeholders in efforts to end domestic violence by empowering survivors, raising awareness, and creating safer communities. The role is focused on building lasting relationships “one donor at a time,” including soliciting, retaining, and stewarding donors to generate ongoing support.
The client will partner closely with the Executive Team and Board of Directors to develop fundraising strategies and goals aligned with organizational values and planning. Responsibilities include leading the creation, implementation, and evaluation of ongoing multi-year development plans; staying current on program initiatives and fundraising, nonprofit marketing, and communications trends; establishing and following fundraising and grants-management policies and standards (including confidentiality, gift acceptance, receipting, recording, acknowledgement, and reporting); and setting fundraising goals and metrics, tracking progress, and reporting results. The role also includes managing a portfolio of individual major and planned giving donors and prospects, maintaining timely and accurate updates in the donor database, and identifying potential new gift prospects alongside board and staff.
In addition, The client will coordinate regular portfolio reviews and development committee and board meeting support, including agenda preparation and ensuring necessary data is available. The position supports annual board gift solicitation planning, serves as a staff liaison to the Development Committee, attends Board of Directors meetings, prepares reports for the committee chair, and presents up-to-date fundraising data. Requirements include at least 4–6 years of professional fundraising experience with 3+ years of nonprofit leadership experience, with preference for candidates residing in Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties; existing relationships in these areas are highly valued. The client is committed to an inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible workplace and encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet every requirement.
