the client is a consolidated business group undergoing growth and transformation, seeking to appoint a Legal Director to lead the legal function with a proactive, strategic, and business-oriented approach. the role focuses on defining and implementing the group’s legal and compliance strategy, with an emphasis on preventive legal management that supports business needs.
key responsibilities include supervising regulatory compliance, including criminal compliance, data protection (GDPR), and internal control; providing strategic legal advisory support to business areas; leading and optimizing contract management across drafting, negotiation, and follow-up; and overseeing corporate governance and corporate functions, including the board of directors. the position also includes managing and protecting intellectual and industrial property, and providing legal support for technology and digital transformation projects.
the Legal Director will coordinate external advisors such as law firms, auditors, and consultants, supervise the group’s legal risk management, and help develop and position the legal area as an internal strategic partner. the successful applicant is expected to hold a law degree and will be valued for postgraduate training, such as an MBA or specialization; will typically have 10–15 years of experience in similar roles within complex corporate environments; and should demonstrate strong knowledge in commercial, contractual, compliance, and corporate governance matters, along with leadership and team management capabilities.
