This role will report directly to the US CEO and involve handling a variety of legal matters for the international mining and steel manufacturing organization. Responsibilities include acting as a key legal advisor to the business, drafting and negotiating contracts, providing legal advice on corporate governance and compliance, and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations in the manufacturing sector. The Legal Counsel will also collaborate with internal teams to manage legal risks, support strategic business initiatives, and stay informed of industry changes.
The successful candidate for this role will have a Juris Doctor degree and be admitted to the Texas State Bar in good standing. They should have a strategic and hands-on approach to legal matters, strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, and previous experience working with senior leadership teams. Knowledge of legal issues within the industrial/manufacturing, mining, and steel sector is preferred.
