The client is looking for a Head of Procurement to join their employee-owned drinks business in Irlam, Manchester. The client provides innovative solutions to various customers, assisting global brands in developing new products as well as helping smaller brands expand. Their services include contract packing for brand owners and supplying major UK retailers with wines along with their own exclusive wine range. The procurement team currently focuses on bottles, caps, and labeling, while wine sourcing is handled by the commercial teams. The role offers an opportunity to refine and expand the procurement processes across several areas including IT, HR, property management, and more.
The new Head of Procurement will play a critical role in streamlining the procurement function, aiming to centralize and enhance the management of expenditures which are presently spread across different areas within the client. The expansion of this role will not only lead to cost savings but also improve risk management and service delivery within the organization.
