Description

The client, a modern natural history museum and multi-disciplinary institution in Switzerland, is seeking a Head of Nature Promotion (80%) to join their team in Aarau. This role involves project management, team leadership, and departmental management responsibilities. The successful candidate will advise and support municipalities, NGOs, and other actors in nature promotion and climate adaptation, organize educational events, write expert articles, manage departmental finances and personnel, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have advanced education and professional experience in fields related to nature promotion, urban ecology, and biodiversity promotion. They should have project experience in ecological restoration, green space design, and biodiversity promotion, as well as knowledge of Swiss species and habitats. Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with cantonal and municipal authorities. An existing professional network in biodiversity and climate adaptation is advantageous.

Key qualifications for this role include experience in project management, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
