The client is seeking a Lead Specialist 6 Water Sector Resilience Expert to work with the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI). The CDRI is a global partnership focused on promoting the resilience of infrastructure systems against climate and disaster risks. The Lead Specialist will be responsible for leading water sector resilience initiatives under CDRI's Critical and Social Infrastructure Programme, supporting technical assistance and capacity-building efforts across member countries. This role will involve program development, technical assistance, capacity building, and management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities for the Lead Specialist include designing and implementing water resilience projects, aligning initiatives with global frameworks, providing technical leadership for resilience planning, and driving cross-sectoral collaboration. The candidate should have expert knowledge in water systems planning and design, experience with water continuity planning, and familiarity with nature-based solutions and smart systems. Qualifications for the role include a Master's degree in relevant fields and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in another UN language considered an asset.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in water infrastructure resilience, disaster risk reduction, and climate adaptation, with international project experience across multiple countries and regions. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sectoral coordination skills are essential for this role. The Lead Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing CDRI's strategic outcomes related to building a strong coalition, promoting global DRI research, and enhancing capacities for post-disaster recovery and DRI action at scale.
