The client is seeking a Lead Specialist 6 Energy Sector Resilience Expert to join their team. The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) is a global partnership focused on promoting the resilience of infrastructure systems against climate and disaster risks. The Energy Sector Resilience Expert will be responsible for providing technical assistance and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the resilience of energy infrastructure systems in alignment with global climate frameworks and CDRI's strategic goals. This role will involve conducting technical studies, supporting resilient planning and design for renewable energy, addressing regulatory and policy gaps, and facilitating access to disaster/climate financing for energy infrastructure resilience.
Key responsibilities for the Energy Sector Resilience Expert include designing and delivering resilience-focused technical assistance, leading capacity-building activities for national governments and sector professionals, and contributing to program management and reporting functions at the CDRI Secretariat. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field, at least 10 years of relevant experience with 4 years in a leadership capacity, and expertise in areas such as power generation, transmission grid resilience, and renewable energy. Strong technical skills in resilient infrastructure design for energy systems and experience with international projects are required for this role.
