Latino U College Access (LUCA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping high-achieving, low-income, first-generation youth achieve their college dreams. Founded by Shirley Acevedo Buontempo, LUCA provides individualized coaching and support to guide students from college admissions through graduation. With an annual revenue exceeding $2 million, LUCA now partners with eight high schools in Westchester County, serving over 7,000 parents and students annually.
LUCA is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can strengthen core programs, launch new fundraising initiatives, and advance internal systems for long-term sustainability. This individual will also be responsible for expanding LUCA's geographic reach, deepening community partnerships, and enhancing organizational sustainability while maintaining the organization's collaborative and positive culture.
The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to provide vision and direction for LUCA's mission and strategic goals. They will lead fundraising efforts, build relationships with funders, and serve as the organization's external ambassador. LUCA is looking for a values-driven leader who is resilient, entrepreneurial, and ready to partner with staff, Board, and community to take the organization to the next level.
