the client is a multinational retail organization with more than 1,000 stores worldwide. In this role, you will define and execute the technology strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and the group’s technology roadmap. You will provide strategic technology guidance to the executive steering committee and actively drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
You will lead and develop an internal IT team of more than 30 professionals, ensuring strong capability across multiple technical disciplines. Responsibilities include guaranteeing the availability, security, and scalability of the technology infrastructure, supporting business continuity and defining disaster recovery planning, and ensuring compliance with applicable data protection and security standards (including GDPR and other relevant frameworks). You will oversee technology audits, manage end-to-end IT risk, and direct strategic technology projects such as enterprise systems, customer platforms, cloud migrations, and process automation, working in close coordination with the digital function.
You will manage the IT budget and continuously optimize costs, while defining and tracking KPIs and performance metrics for the function. The role typically requires a university degree in computer engineering, telecommunications, or related fields, with postgraduate education valued. You are expected to have at least 10 years of experience leading IT teams in multinational environments, proven success managing multidisciplinary technical teams, strong cloud experience, solid cybersecurity and IT governance knowledge, and a track record of digital transformation.
