The client is seeking an experienced International Tax Director to lead international tax advisory work on complex cross-border challenges for multinational organisations. This role involves building and managing client relationships while delivering strategic, commercially focused advice across a growing international tax practice. The position covers a broad range of international tax matters and provides opportunities to help shape the future direction of the practice.
Key responsibilities include managing and developing a portfolio of multinational clients, advising on international tax structuring, cross-border reorganisations, refinancing and legal entity optimisation, and pre- and post-transaction tax planning. The director will also support transfer pricing and operating model considerations, manage tax authority enquiries and disputes, and address global tax policy developments, including BEPS 2.0 and Pillar Two. Work will require translating complex technical issues into practical guidance, coordinating multi-jurisdictional engagements, and responding to evolving regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will be professionally qualified (e.g., ACA, CTA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) with extensive international tax experience gained in a professional services environment. They should have strong technical knowledge of international and corporate tax, a proven track record leading complex advisory projects, and experience serving as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders. The role also requires strong communication and leadership abilities, demonstrated business development skills, and experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
