The client is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Transformation & Operations for a short-term contract (3–6 months) with an immediate start. This hybrid role is focused on senior leadership within Adult Social Care, supporting a high-profile improvement journey across a complex operational environment. The position is expected to provide autonomy in driving change, influencing strategic decision-making, and leading large multidisciplinary teams to improve service delivery and outcomes.
Key responsibilities include leading and overseeing significant transformation and service improvement programmes across Adult Social Care services, while ensuring high-quality outcomes for residents. The role will provide oversight of safeguarding responsibilities and statutory functions, drive CQC improvement activity and regulatory compliance, and support quality assurance initiatives. In addition, the role will lead and develop Service Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performing services while maintaining a continuous improvement focus on operational performance and outcomes.
Candidates are expected to bring extensive senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care operational services, along with a proven track record delivering large-scale transformation and service redesign initiatives. Experience leading or supporting CQC improvement programmes and regulatory improvement activity is important, as is strong knowledge of front door services, discharge pathways, safeguarding, and operational delivery.
