The client is seeking an interim Head of Tax to take full ownership of all group tax matters and act as the in-house tax expert for both compliance and advisory. The role partners closely with senior stakeholders across the business and leads a small team of two direct reports, while playing an integral part within the wider finance function.
Key responsibilities include leading direct and indirect tax matters, owning tax governance, compliance, and risk management (including relevant regulatory requirements), and ensuring timely tax reporting. You will maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisers, and support and advise the business on the tax implications of key commercial decisions and projects.
The client expects a solid background in UK tax and experience operating at Head of Tax level, with breadth across multiple taxes. The role is suited to candidates who can commit to the full interim duration and are immediately available or will be available very soon.
