Description

The client is seeking an Interim Executive Director for a 12-to-18-month term, reporting to the Board of Directors. The role provides chief executive leadership during a leadership transition and is expected to help shape the organization’s strategic model and plan, supporting long-term sustainability over approximately 18 months. The Executive Director will ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and will lead mission-focused strategy across operations, fundraising, and community engagement.

This leader will provide steady, mission-aligned oversight for staff, volunteers, and partners, including support, supervision, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative organizational culture. Responsibilities include maintaining program excellence through rigorous program evaluation and consistent quality across finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and operational systems. The position also involves recommending timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals, ensuring the organization makes consistent and timely progress toward its mission.

The Executive Director will oversee effective completion of construction, rehabilitation, contractor, and/or development projects aligned with organizational goals, with systems to track progress and evaluate program components. Acting as a primary representative to internal and external stakeholders, the role will support accurate records, reporting, and documentation, and communicate results to the board, funders, and constituents. Fundraising and development responsibilities include developing and monitoring a development strategy, collaborating with relevant committees to track cash flow and budget adherence, implementing sound financial policies and practices, and supporting ongoing fundraising activities such as donor communication and grant-related reporting, while maintaining strong relationships with partner organizations and funders.
