An Interim Director of Women’s & Children’s Services is needed in Brattleboro, Vermont to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Labor & Delivery, postpartum/newborn services, and associated outpatient OB-GYN clinics. The role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. Key responsibilities include overseeing clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives, along with staffing, budgeting, and patient safety programs.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience in women’s and children’s services, including Labor & Delivery operations, postpartum/newborn care, and outpatient OB-GYN services. Strong performance in regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration is expected, along with the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs. The role requires excellent communication skills and a highly organized, patient-focused approach to leadership.
The position requires a current RN license or Certified Nurse Midwife license and a BSN, with a master’s degree preferred. Candidates should be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance. Interim leadership roles may involve varying travel requirements, with travel, accommodations, and work-related expenses covered by the client, and bi-weekly trips home provided; specific licensure rules may also apply depending on where services are delivered.
