An interim Director of Nursing is needed to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for a 48-bed skilled nursing facility in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Reporting to the Administrator, the leader will oversee approximately 30 FTEs and will be responsible for guiding nursing operations, supporting quality care initiatives, optimizing clinical documentation workflows, implementing structured processes, collaborating with staff, and ensuring accountability across the nursing department.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading skilled nursing or long-term care nursing operations and will be able to collaborate effectively with teams, strengthen systems and processes, and support quality outcomes. The role requires strong organization, a patient-focused mindset, the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs, and excellent communication skills. The position is expected to begin within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and an active RN license, along with previous nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care settings. Experience with EPIC workflows and quality improvement initiatives is preferred. Interim leadership roles may involve varying travel requirements, with travel and related work expenses typically covered by the client and the staffing partner, including accommodations and a rental car; some roles may also require awareness of licensure expectations such as Nurse Licensure Compact compatibility.
