The client is seeking an accomplished Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide executive leadership during a pivotal period of organizational transformation for a founder-led consumer products business with a nationally recognized ecommerce brand. This is a hands-on role focused on partnering closely with the founder to stabilize operations, restore organizational control, strengthen financial and operational performance, and position the business for continued growth or a potential future sale.
The Interim CEO will lead day-to-day operations and serve as a trusted strategic partner across the organization. Key responsibilities include evaluating and strengthening organizational structure, leadership effectiveness, and operational processes to improve profitability and scalability; enhancing financial performance through improved reporting, budgeting, expense management, contract review, and operational decision-making in collaboration with external accounting resources; and driving ecommerce and retail growth by optimizing channels and operations related to selling, fulfillment, supply chain, marketing investments, and customer experience.
The role also involves assessing and strengthening compliance across employment practices, payroll, corporate governance, business operations, and applicable regulatory requirements while protecting organizational assets and reducing operational risk. To support long-term strategic objectives, the Interim CEO will improve organizational readiness, safeguard intellectual property, and evaluate leadership to help prepare the business for continued growth or a potential future sale. Qualifications include executive leadership experience in founder-led, entrepreneurial, or small to mid-sized organizations; demonstrated success leading ecommerce and consumer products or related retail/manufacturing/distribution operations through growth or operational transformation; strong financial and operational acumen; experience with restructuring, turnarounds, operational improvements, or merger and acquisition readiness; and a collaborative, hands-on leadership approach with strong communication and change management skills.
