Interim Chief Executive Officer opportunity to lead a privately held manufacturing organization through an important organizational transition. This onsite executive leadership role is based in northeast Detroit and is expected to run through March 2027, providing strategic and operational leadership while maintaining business continuity, supporting employees, and ensuring strong customer relationships.
The Interim Chief Executive Officer will guide stable day-to-day operations while overseeing the organization’s transition to completion of key business objectives. Responsibilities include partnering with employees, customers, ownership, lenders, and the Board to foster open communication and strong working relationships; overseeing operational execution, customer commitments, and organizational priorities through project completion; supporting employee engagement and morale through transparency and professionalism; and collaborating with leadership to manage financial, operational, and strategic priorities.
Candidates are expected to have executive leadership experience in manufacturing or related industrial environments and a demonstrated track record leading operational organizations through significant change. The role calls for strong financial and operational leadership skills, with the ability to build trust across an organization and partner effectively with executive leadership and governance stakeholders. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic decision-making abilities are required; compensation is offered on an hourly basis with a flexible consulting arrangement potentially available.
