The client seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager/Director to establish HR procedures for a newly created US operation, covering an office environment and multiple retail stores. The role will help build the people infrastructure needed to launch and operate a network of fully owned retail locations, supporting a growth-focused, entrepreneurial approach to HR.
Key responsibilities include setting up health and retirement benefits and establishing payroll processes for retail staff. The role will partner with the GM and the Regional Retail Manager to organize recruitment for multiple store managers and corresponding retail teams ahead of scheduled openings, and will manage the full employee lifecycle by processing hires and terminations. The position will also create an employee handbook and participate in designing retail training materials.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience as an HR Manager in a retail environment, with strong recruiting experience for retail roles. The client is looking for a high-potential, entrepreneurial HR leader who can operate with minimal support while providing clear structure and process, and who demonstrates strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a sense of urgency to work effectively at a fast pace. A passion for natural health and beauty products is preferred, and prior experience in comparable natural health and beauty brands is advantageous.
