Description

The client is seeking an HR Director to take over internal HR administrative responsibilities previously handled by the finance department. This is a fully dedicated HR role supporting a growing mid-size international high-end gourmet food organization with retail, restaurant, wholesale, and online sales activities in the USA.

Key responsibilities include managing weekly payroll for company staff, including overtime, paid time off, and absences; monitoring and administering company health benefits such as enrollment for new employees and administrative updates; and handling core administrative HR functions including workers’ compensation and required HR reporting. The role also involves updating the employee handbook and performing other administrative HR duties as needed.

The ideal candidate is an HR manager or HR Director with strong experience in payroll processes and restaurant business. Requirements include a degree in human resources, 5 to 8 years of HR experience, strong organizational skills, and solid proficiency with MS Office, along with the ability to create reporting and structured processes where needed. Prior experience in luxury, consumer goods, and food and beverage-related categories may be appreciated, as well as prior titles such as HR Manager, Human Resources Manager, HR Director, Human Resources Director, HR Generalist, or Human Resources Generalist.
