The client is seeking a Head Project Engineer to lead civil engineering projects for a marine road and causeway project in a unique island environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing shore-side marine port projects, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards, and presenting project reports to stakeholders and senior management. They will also be tasked with identifying and mitigating risks, driving innovation in engineering practices, and mentoring and managing the local team.
The ideal candidate for this role will have relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related field, proven experience in managing large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally with experience in shore-side marine port projects, strong leadership and team management skills, exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, knowledge of public sector operations and compliance requirements, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a proactive and results-oriented approach to work.
