The client is seeking a Head of Treasury to manage financial risk and treasury operations across the organization. This position involves overseeing liquidity, funding, interest rate and foreign exchange risk, as well as banking, cash forecasting, debt compliance, and hedging activities. The Head of Treasury will serve as a subject-matter expert in these areas, providing advice to senior leadership, lenders, and the Board. The role is based on a hybrid working model, requiring regular on-site presence in a location in South East England for 2-3 days per week.
Core responsibilities include leading daily treasury operations such as cash management, forecasting, banking, payments, and liquidity, ensuring compliance with debt facilities, covenants, and treasury policy. The role also involves managing funding arrangements, hedging activities, ISDA documentation, and trade finance instruments. Additionally, the Head of Treasury is expected to oversee financial risk management concerning interest rate, foreign exchange, credit, and liquidity risks, as well as prepare thorough reports and presentations for lenders, senior management, and the Board.
The successful candidate will maintain effective relationships with banks, lenders, advisors, and internal stakeholders while establishing efficient treasury systems and processes, including the implementation of a Treasury Management System. They will also provide expert guidance on treasury accounting, tax, and related financial matters, ensuring the organization complies with relevant standards such as IFRS 9.
