Description

the client is seeking a Treasury Lead to define and lead the Group’s treasury strategy across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons, aligned with financial and business objectives. The role will oversee liquidity management, including daily monitoring of cash positions, cash pooling structures, and cash flow forecasting, with an emphasis on maintaining reliable and up-to-date forecasts to anticipate funding needs and potential treasury surpluses.

The Treasury Lead will manage relationships with financial institutions and negotiate credit facilities, loans, and other financing structures to secure competitive terms. They will design and execute the Group’s financing policy and hedging strategies to address financial risks, particularly interest rate and foreign exchange exposures, while leading debt management and contributing to the definition of the capital structure. The position also involves supporting corporate financing transactions and contributing to M&A activities from a treasury and finance perspective.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with internal policies, financial covenants, and applicable regulations, supported by a robust control framework, and coordinating audits and reviews related to treasury and financial reporting. The role will prepare treasury and financial position reporting for senior management and, where applicable, the board, and will lead and develop the treasury team in a high-performance environment. The candidate should have a university degree in a relevant field, substantial treasury leadership experience (typically in the range of 8–10 years), experience managing complex financial structures and leading teams, strong analytical capability and financial rigor, proven negotiation skills, strong communication in both Spanish and English, and the ability to work closely with other senior finance leaders within an integrated finance model.
