The client is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple European plants. This role sits within the Management Team and focuses on optimizing supply chain processes to meet high standards of efficiency and quality, while shaping the European growth and operating strategy and defining a future supply chain operating model in collaboration with the executive team.
Key responsibilities include actively contributing to leadership discussions; leading and developing experienced supply chain teams and maintaining constructive dialogue with unions; and ensuring the successful launch and ramp-up of greenfield plants. The role also supports end-to-end flow and transport optimization with a focus on margin improvement, partnering with Procurement on transport negotiations and sourcing decisions, and overseeing external warehousing solutions to translate additional capacity into increased turnover and margin.
The Head of Supply Chain will lead automation and digitalization initiatives and support Sales and Business Development in developing value-added supply chain and logistics services that enhance customer loyalty and revenue. The client expects strong interpersonal and project management skills, in-depth knowledge of supply chain management practices and systems (such as ERP and Odoo), proven change-management experience, and an inspiring people-management approach. A master’s degree in a related field, fluency in English (with French and German as assets), and readiness to travel about 30% of the time are required; the role is also expected to work effectively with strong analytical and communication skills.
