The client is seeking a Head of Strategic Sourcing to lead procurement strategy across multiple business units. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role will oversee major spending across technology, operational equipment, logistics, and corporate services, with responsibility for reducing costs, improving supplier performance, managing commercial risk, and establishing consistent procurement standards across the group.
The Head of Strategic Sourcing will develop sourcing strategies across technology, operational, and corporate-service categories; lead supplier selection, tenders, proposal evaluations, and commercial negotiations; and negotiate pricing, payment terms, service commitments, and long-term supplier agreements. The role will analyze company-wide spending to identify savings, consolidation, and cost-avoidance opportunities, build and manage strategic supplier relationships through regular performance reviews, track delivery and service levels, and address performance issues. It will also identify supplier and supply-chain risks and set contingency plans, implement consistent procurement policies and approval processes with spending controls, and partner with Finance and Legal on contracts, renewals, and supplier obligations while introducing procurement systems, reporting, and process improvements.
Qualifications include at least 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, including at least five years in a leadership position, and experience managing procurement within a regional or multinational organization. The ideal candidate has a strong track record negotiating high-value commercial agreements, developing multi-category sourcing strategies, and applying supplier management, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and procurement governance. They should be able to analyze spending and supplier and financial data to support commercial decisions and have experience using procurement systems and ERP platforms, as well as Excel and business-intelligence tools; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or Engineering is required, with data center operations experience preferred and additional advanced education or procurement certification advantageous.
