Description

The client is seeking an exceptional commercial and relationship-building leader to serve as Head of Sponsorship and Client Experience. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of an iconic cultural institution as it embarks on a major transformation. The role is responsible for corporate partnerships, events, and commercial hire, and will lead a high-performing team to create outstanding experiences, secure transformational sponsorships, and build strategic relationships with global brands.

As Head of Sponsorship and Client Experience, you will develop and deliver an ambitious growth strategy that maximises sponsorship income, enhances client engagement, and unlocks the potential of the institution’s estate. You will act as a senior ambassador for key corporate partners, cultivating long-term, high-value relationships while ensuring that every event, activation, and partnership experience reflects the institution’s quality, reputation, and cultural significance. Working with senior leadership, trustees, curatorial teams, and development colleagues, you will help align commercial opportunities with the institution’s mission, global profile, and future ambitions.

The client is looking for a commercially astute and inspiring leader with a proven record of securing and growing high-value partnerships, including closing major sponsorship deals and managing a substantial sponsorship portfolio. You should have strong commercial and financial acumen, with capabilities such as pipeline management and income forecasting, along with experience leading and motivating high-performing teams within complex organisations. Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills are essential, as is the credibility to engage with senior stakeholders and corporate executives; experience in the cultural, heritage, arts, or museum sector and exposure to major fundraising or capital campaigns would be advantageous.
