Description

The client is a global automotive and e-mobility supplier operating in high-growth mode, with a strong emphasis on profitability and expanding its footprint in North America. The Head of Sales North America role leads the commercial function for the region, driving overall development, growth, and performance through a team spanning the US and Mexico. This position is focused on commercial strategy, key customer relationships, and building a high-performing sales organization to support regional expansion.

The Head of Sales North America will execute the commercial strategy with full commercial P&L ownership for the region, identifying growth opportunities with automotive Tier 1 customers and driving new business acquisition through the sales team. Responsibilities include building executive-level relationships and strategic partnerships, converting RFQs, achieving and exceeding regional budgeted Sales and Gross Margin, and leading customer negotiations covering contracts, pricing, and long-term agreements. The role also ensures accurate and timely completion of reports, plans, forecasts, and administrative requirements, while meeting reporting deadlines set by senior leadership.

The successful applicant will lead, coach, and develop the sales team across the US and Mexico by setting clear KPIs and goals, identifying target growth segments for diversification into new markets and applications, and providing regular feedback on market conditions, competitor activities, and progress against business objectives. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field, extensive automotive sales and business development experience (including 3 years in sales and commercial leadership within automotive), and experience working with Tier 1 customers; experience aligned with wiring, electrical distribution, and related suppliers/customers is preferred. The position also expects strong leadership capability, analytical and organizational skills with financial acumen, the ability to solve complex technical account challenges, and experience collaborating globally and cross-functionally across engineering, quality, supply chain, and finance while maintaining compliance, risk management, and strong data integrity in CRM.
