Description

the client is seeking a Country Sales Manager to lead and grow its business in Germany within an international agribusiness environment focused on innovative seed solutions. The role will support strategic and operational expansion across relevant crop categories and contribute to the company’s professional, regionally grounded sales approach, working in close collaboration with international projects and teams.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing the German sales strategy across the product portfolio, shaping and driving the national roadmap, and actively participating in the management team for the business unit. The role also owns sales planning and performance control, including budget, forecast, and commercial targets for volume, pricing, and margin, supported by ongoing performance management. In operational sales, the Country Sales Manager will lead, develop, and coach Regional Sales Managers and indirect sales teams, identify market potential, translate it into concrete action plans, and implement a sales effectiveness approach using KPIs, CRM, customer strategy, and visit targets.

The position includes customer and market ownership through building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, dealers, distribution partners, and market influencers, as well as negotiating with key customers and steering pricing and terms strategies. The role will collaborate closely with marketing, product management, supply chain, and customer service, and ensure a high-performance, responsible, and safe working environment by promoting team capability, talent development, cross-functional cooperation, and adherence to safety, compliance, and internal process requirements. The successful applicant will bring multi-year sales leadership experience, a demonstrated track record in building teams and driving growth and key-account management, strong market understanding of agricultural value chains and trading structures, business competence for pricing, margins, and budgeting, and excellent communication and leadership skills, with secure German and strong English; domestic travel within Germany is expected.
