Description

The role of Head of Research is an opportunity to take ownership of the qualitative insight function within a large, established brand communications environment. This senior leadership position will blend insight, creativity, and strategy, supporting globally recognised brands through integrated work and strengthening the organization’s external profile and qualitative research capability.

As Head of Qualitative Research, you will lead and grow the qualitative research team, currently operating at a small scale with plans to expand. You will own and evolve the qualitative research offering, deliver high-quality qualitative work while remaining hands-on where needed, and partner closely with account leadership on key client relationships across major global accounts. The role also involves introducing new methodologies and innovative approaches, contributing to capability positioning, and working effectively within a matrix structure across insight, creative, and client teams.

You will bring a strong qualitative research background and proven experience with client-facing work, including experience supporting large, global brands. You should have demonstrated team leadership or practice-building experience, deep expertise across qualitative methodologies, and commercial awareness with client-facing confidence. A credible senior presence is essential, enabling you to lead effectively from the start and help shape and expand the capability.
