the client seeks a senior leader to drive APAC precious metals strategy and build new market infrastructure from inception to scale. The role will provide strategic leadership across physical gold, gold futures, and digital gold offerings, with broad ownership of product development, trading operations, market structure design, and commercial strategy.
Key responsibilities include establishing and managing a regional ecosystem of market participants across the precious metals value chain, such as refiners, bullion banks, brokers, trading houses, exchanges, and digital asset platforms. The role will also support digital precious metals innovation by integrating traditional precious metals expertise with fintech capabilities to design and launch digital gold solutions, blockchain-enabled trading, and next-generation settlement approaches.
The client expects the leader to oversee regulatory and compliance engagement across APAC to secure approvals, ensure compliance, and help shape industry standards for both physical and digital precious metals markets. The role includes establishing risk and governance frameworks for market, liquidity, operational, and counterparty risks, as well as owning business performance and P&L, driving revenue growth through product innovation, market penetration, partnerships, and new monetization models such as storage, clearing, and digital issuance.
