The client is seeking a Head of People to lead and shape a forward-looking people strategy across the Public Service for a close-knit island community. This role will drive HR and organisational development to ensure the organisation has the capability, capacity, and culture needed to deliver government priorities, with a focus on responding to change, embracing innovation, and meeting evolving community needs.
Reporting to and partnering with senior leaders and portfolio directors, the Head of People will act as a trusted advisor by embedding consistent, high-quality HR practice and supporting leaders to drive performance and transformation. Key responsibilities include workforce planning and resourcing, organisational design, learning and development, and employee engagement, while championing a people-centred approach that places wellbeing, engagement, and inclusion at the heart of service delivery and enables a professional, agile, and future-ready workforce.
