Head of Operations (m/w/d) is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end operational performance across multiple locations in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). In this key position, you lead and coach regional leadership teams and their operations, covering areas such as fleet operations, dispatch, and logistics, while actively contributing as part of the management team and collaborating closely with the managing director.
The role focuses on operational excellence and business control by ensuring efficient daily workflows and reliable service delivery to customers. You will steer performance using KPIs related to productivity, service levels, capacity utilization, and fleet costs, and you are responsible for budget ownership and cost transparency for the region. You will also further develop the operational setup through process optimization, standardization, and scalable growth, ensuring service-oriented and dependable customer support.
You will shape strategic initiatives and change management within operations, working in close collaboration with central functions such as HR, controlling, technical teams, and customer service. In a blue-collar environment, you are expected to lead by example through clear communication, visible presence, and consistent adherence to standards. Additionally, you will drive improvements in last-mile processes, tour planning, and fleet utilization, while supporting operational efficiency and service quality; the position is expected to involve frequent travel within NRW.
