Description

the client is seeking a marketplace strategy and 0→1 launch leader to create and launch a marketplace from scratch. The role owns the end-to-end marketplace lifecycle, including business planning, resource allocation, budgeting, development, and go-to-market execution, while defining the value proposition, service offering, and growth strategy. The successful candidate will act as the business owner and key user, translating business goals into functional and technical requirements to build a robust, secure, and scalable platform, and will maintain a short-, mid-, and long-term product roadmap based on customer and business impact.

In addition, the role will ensure a best-in-class user experience, guiding seamless and intuitive customer journeys from access to transaction. Responsibilities include defining and executing a customer data strategy that complies with applicable regulations and supports customer-relationship ownership. The position also drives business development through strategic partnership identification, negotiation, and partnership acquisition, including end-to-end onboarding, while ensuring partners meet required quality, brand, and ethical standards.

The role will lead integration and go-to-market activities by coordinating multi-provider payment orchestration and ensuring partner service and product integration is seamless. The candidate will manage cross-functional launch efforts, including collaboration with marketing, legal, operations, and other stakeholders, and will design incentive and activation mechanisms to improve customer acquisition and engagement. It also includes analytics and continuous improvement by defining and monitoring key marketplace KPIs, analyzing performance data and customer feedback, producing executive-level reporting with insights and recommendations, and conducting competitive benchmarking to identify market opportunities, alongside strong cross-functional leadership across product, technology, sales, operations, marketing, finance, and legal.
