The client is seeking a Head of Marketing to help position a premium luxury wall art and home décor brand as a global leader in high-end, unique wall art. The role supports a strategic transition away from canvas commodity products toward elevated art finishes designed to create long-lasting value and deeper relationships with customers and collectors. The marketing effort will prioritize direct-to-consumer acquisition and brand building, while also working across multiple sales channels.
The Head of Marketing will set and own the sustainable marketing strategy for direct-to-consumer, including pursuing customer acquisition with a foundation for longevity. Responsibilities include developing a marketing calendar to maximize returns, analyzing consumer behavior to define customer personas, and creating content and communications strategies aligned with brand and company values. The role also includes monitoring market trends and competitors, tracking and reporting marketing effectiveness to the executive team, running iterative funnel tests, and using results to update data-driven strategy to improve key performance metrics.
The role requires hands-on ownership of marketing tasks, including managing agencies, contractors, and internal team members to deliver end results and overseeing the design and production of promotional materials such as newsletters, social content, website landing pages, and postcards. It includes owning internet marketing solutions such as social media integration and search engine optimization (SEO), managing the marketing budget with a focus on positive ROI, and guiding efforts to cut costs or increase returns. The ideal candidate will have Head/VP-level marketing experience (preferably in home decor and ecommerce), demonstrated success leading campaigns, strong analytical capabilities, SEO and analytics experience, and leadership and organizational development experience for teams up to 30 people, along with an agile, decisive, and self-directed approach.
