The client, a well-established organization in Warsaw, is looking to establish their first senior legal function in Poland to strengthen their operations and governance locally. The Head of Legal will act as the lead legal advisor for the company's Polish operations, overseeing legal matters in various domains such as commercial law, compliance, regulatory affairs, IP, privacy, and competition. They will also draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements in alignment with corporate objectives, provide strategic legal counsel to local leadership, and ensure ongoing compliance with national regulations and internal governance standards.
The successful applicant will be a qualified legal professional with a degree in Polish law and a minimum of 5 years' legal experience, preferably with in-house exposure. They should have solid knowledge of Polish competition, contract, and data protection laws, as well as a strong understanding of Polish labor law. Fluency in Polish and English is required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
