the client is seeking a Head of Legal to serve as a key strategic partner to the Management Board, providing high-level legal leadership and shaping the organisation’s risk posture. This role oversees all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters across the organisation’s Polish entity, supporting business safeguarding, enabling growth, and ensuring alignment with global corporate standards.
The Head of Legal will provide strategic legal counsel for critical business decisions and act as the primary legal advisor for senior stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading and developing the internal legal team, defining and overseeing the legal risk framework, monitoring legislative and regulatory changes and advising on required actions, and delivering clear, pragmatic legal opinions and guidance. The role also involves partnering with HR and senior business leaders on labour law matters, organisational changes, employee relations, and compliance risks.
Key operational responsibilities include leading legal workstreams across strategic and operational projects, ensuring compliance with applicable national and EU regulations with a focus on labour law, corporate governance, and internal controls. The role includes overseeing contract negotiation, drafting, and optimisation; managing cooperation with regulatory bodies, external law firms, and supervisory authorities, including representation in labour-law matters; and shaping and maintaining internal policy and procedures to support consistency, compliance, and alignment with global standards. The position typically requires a Master’s degree in law, attorney-at-law qualifications, and progressive experience in senior legal roles, along with demonstrated expertise in labour law, regulatory matters, and compliance frameworks, strong stakeholder and negotiation skills, and effective English communication.
