The client is seeking a Head of International Tax to join their team in the Midlands, with a requirement to be in the office 2-3 days per week. This role, within a globally recognized FTSE 100 company, involves reporting to the Group Head of Tax and being part of the Tax Leadership Team. Key responsibilities include ensuring the client meets its global tax compliance obligations in all overseas locations, except the US and Germany. The position involves collaboration with the tax team and external advisors, managing global tax disputes and audits, and advising on complex cross-border transactions. The role also requires monitoring international legislative developments and communicating the implications to relevant stakeholders, as well as supporting tax teams worldwide to resolve international tax issues.
The Head of International Tax will also be responsible for managing international aspects of group reporting and forecasting. They will support the Group Tax Director with the client's tax disclosure policy and engage in ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance processes. In addition to managing these responsibilities, the role includes handling ad-hoc projects and providing advice to support the Group Tax Director. Candidates may come from a background in a Big 4 international tax team at experienced Senior Manager level or be at an early Director grade. The position is also open to individuals in other in-house roles seeking advancement. The client values demonstrated skills necessary to fulfill this role over specific PQE or salary levels.
