the client is a global investment management and fund distribution firm serving institutional investors, financial intermediaries, and private clients with solutions spanning public and private markets and multiple asset classes. the role focuses on formulating a regional distribution strategy for actively managed and private market products across APAC, aligned to institutional client needs and relevant regulatory environments.
serving as Responsible Officer/MIC and a board member, the successful candidate will ensure governance, conduct, and compliance standards are met across jurisdictions. the role also leads product and investment efforts, directing portfolio manager and product teams across active fixed income, active equity, and passive equity mandates, with ownership of roadmap, product design, and performance accountability. in addition, the candidate will drive institutional sales growth through go-to-market planning, pricing, and channel segmentation, while owning private markets distribution for PE, private credit, and real assets, including structuring, onboarding processes, and client education for complex vehicles.
the candidate will champion marketing and brand strategy to support sales conversion, build and scale high-performing regional teams with clear KPIs and talent plans, and enhance client solutions through research-led insights, performance narrative, custom mandates, and portfolio advisory for institutional RFPs. responsibilities include ensuring risk management and compliance across distribution, product governance, disclosures, and cross-border marketing, as well as leading strategic partnerships and managing key accounts to improve penetration and retention. requirements include solid experience in institutional distribution and product leadership with proven APAC coverage and a track record of AUM growth across public and private market strategies, eligibility and experience as Responsible Officer/MIC and board-level involvement, strong understanding of APAC regulatory frameworks and product governance, deep institutional client relationships, advanced product knowledge for portfolio construction and vehicle structures, demonstrated team leadership and KPI management, and exceptional strategic communication. CFA/MBA may be preferred, ESG integration and stewardship familiarity is desirable, multilingual capability may be preferred, and travel across APAC is expected; CRM, marketing automation, and analytics proficiency is also expected.
