An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Human Resources with an international focus, situated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves leading the HR strategy, advisory, and HR operations locally, reporting directly to the Regional Chief Human Resources Officer while serving as a key advisor to the Country CEO and the Leadership team. The successful candidate will be supported by a lean team of HR generalists and specialists and have access to resources from the Asia-Pacific headquarters. A key part of the role is to lead business-as-usual HR processes while being a crucial member of the leadership team in one of the organization's significant offices. Current strategic priorities include Talent Attraction and Retention, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, and Leadership Development.
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Head of HR, preferably based in Malaysia, who has demonstrated success in managing an end-to-end people function combined with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and strategic insight. The person should have a consultative and engaging personality and be capable of influencing and partnering with the leadership team. Prior experience in managing and developing a high-performing HR team is essential, as well as the ability to navigate both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. Additionally, experience in the insurance, brokerage, or financial services industry is highly desirable.
