The client is seeking a leader with overall responsibility for the planning, operation, continuous improvement, and optimization of grid infrastructure. In this role, you will help develop and implement a future-oriented network strategy, supporting initiatives such as digitization, automation, and the integration of renewable energy. You will also lead and further develop the grid organization, including budget and resource responsibility, to strengthen reliability and performance.
You will ensure grid stability, supply security, and regulatory compliance while coordinating closely with internal teams across areas such as engineering, asset management, regulatory affairs, and IT. The role includes managing and coordinating external partners, service providers, and grid operators, as well as assessing technological innovations and translating them into strategic decisions. You will represent the client with authorities, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
Candidates are expected to have an academic background in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering and management, or a closely related field, along with multi-year leadership experience in grid operations or grid development within electricity, energy, or infrastructure networks. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and technical standards is required, paired with strategic thinking and execution capability. Experience with change management and transformation projects is advantageous, and excellent communication skills with proficiency in both German and English are expected.
