This senior regional leadership role works closely with the co-CEO to drive APAC partnership strategy, expand local payment capabilities, and lead market localisation initiatives across key countries. In a fast-paced fintech environment focused on digital payments and merchant-focused financial infrastructure, the role will help shape expansion strategy, influence regional product offerings, and build high-impact partnerships across APAC.
Key responsibilities include leading regional and local expansion of strategic partners such as payment institutions, banks, wallets, acquirers, and broader ecosystem players. The role will negotiate high-value, long-term commercial agreements, establish structured partner governance for sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships, and provide performance oversight. It will also collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless integration and go-live of new partnership initiatives, define localisation strategy for priority APAC markets aligned with global objectives, and work with internal and external senior stakeholders to accelerate regional rollout.
The successful applicant will have 15+ years of experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or related partnership/channel management, along with strong familiarity with cross-border payment ecosystems and regulatory frameworks across APAC. They should have a proven track record managing global or large multicultural teams, strong executive-level negotiation and stakeholder management experience, and a strong network of regional payment institutions, banks, and local ecosystem players. Close collaboration with business stakeholders in Mainland China requires fluency in professional Mandarin and English, and the role also calls for experience with product-led partnership models and local infrastructure build-outs, with the ability to thrive in culturally diverse, fast-moving settings.
