This senior group leadership role is responsible for building and leading a global business services (GBS) function across a complex, multi-country organization. The role focuses on delivering consistent, high-quality shared services across core finance processes, supported by strong governance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. It combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to drive efficiency, standardization, scalable service delivery, and ongoing transformation and growth.
Key responsibilities include defining and leading the global GBS strategy, operating model, and roadmap aligned to group priorities; building, developing, and leading a high-performing, globally distributed shared services organization; and driving standardization and process optimization across finance and other operational service lines. The role is expected to deliver measurable efficiency improvements alongside longer-term transformation initiatives, partner with regional and functional leaders to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery, and collaborate with technology teams to enhance systems, data, and digital capabilities.
The role will oversee governance, risk, and financial controls within the GBS environment, ensuring compliance with global regulatory and corporate policy frameworks. It also serves as a key interface between GBS and senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business, leading continuous improvement across processes, systems, and service delivery models. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in global business services, shared services, or large-scale operations; a track record of managing complex international teams in a matrix environment; strategic and transformation capability; commercial and financial acumen; strong stakeholder partnership skills; and demonstrated people leadership, communication, and influencing abilities, with Spanish language skills as an advantageous but not essential preference.
