the client is seeking a Head of Fund Accounting to lead its fund reporting function within a private equity and private credit environment. The role will manage fund reporting and operational support for private funds, including single-investment fund reporting and multiple non-managed investments, with responsibility for investor communications and day-to-day reporting outputs.
The Head of Fund Accounting will oversee daily operations for private funds, including NAV calculation, trade settlement, cash and position reconciliations, cash collateral, margin management, and corporate action processing. The role will also be responsible for financial reporting across private equity and equity-related funds, operational support and maintenance of securities settlements for both fixed income and equity instruments, and assistance with the annual audit process through preparation of valuation reporting. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accounting for general partners and newly set up entities, updating schedules related to LP share transfers, monitoring fund and SPV liquidity and cash levels, and supporting bank account openings/closures and related KYC requests.
The successful applicant will have CPA qualification and strong technical accounting expertise with a thorough understanding of private equity fund structures. The role requires proven fund accounting experience with accurate calculation and oversight of fund NAVs, hands-on management of SPV liquidity, cash positions, capital calls, distributions, and bank accounts, and the ability to oversee financial reporting, audit support, and compliance with regulatory and investor requirements. Strong leadership and coordination skills are expected to manage service providers and partner closely with investment teams to facilitate deal closing, exits, and cashflow management.
