The client is seeking a key leadership role responsible for aromatics development and production, with significant scope to shape direction within the area of food flavors. The position plays a central part in managing technical teams and driving product and application outcomes aligned with strategic goals.
Core responsibilities include leading and developing teams across flavor development and flavor application, translating customer requirements and market observations into competitive, market-ready product solutions, and working closely with adjacent functions such as sales and research & development. The role also involves initiating and implementing technical innovations while continuously improving competencies and processes, as well as serving as a senior point of contact for customers on technical questions and projects.
The successful applicant will have a completed degree in food science, chemistry, engineering, or a comparable discipline, along with multi-year experience in a senior technical function within the food industry. Experience leading teams in product development, application, or related fields (such as flavors or ingredients) is expected, supported by innovation mindset and interest in developing employees and the organization, as well as strategic thinking focused on sustainable growth and market success. Proficiency in both German and English, spoken and written, is required.
