the client is building an innovative neobank focused on modernizing personal and corporate finance by integrating traditional banking capabilities with advanced financial solutions. The platform is expected to offer a comprehensive set of core banking services, including multi-currency account features, currency exchange, international payments, debit card issuance, and account analytics, with an emphasis on crypto-friendly functionality.
In this role, you will develop and execute financial strategy aligned with the client’s vision, including leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize resources and support growth. You will implement controls and performance metrics to streamline financial processes, oversee treasury functions such as liquidity management and payment flow optimization, and manage aspects of debt capital market funding. You will also define and develop neobank product and technology specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams to align business goals with innovation.
You are expected to ensure compliance with IFRS-9 and other relevant standards by producing accurate financial data and managing accounting functions. You will engage with auditors, manage tax documentation and compliance, and coordinate regulatory reporting to the Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA). Additionally, you will build and maintain relationships with vendors and financial operators, manage contracts, and support operational optimization through partner cooperation. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with an MBA or CPA preferred, demonstrated success in senior financial leadership roles (preferably in banking, fintech, or related areas), strong knowledge of financial principles and regulations with hands-on planning, analysis, and reporting experience, and strong leadership and communication skills; familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies is essential, and experience in regulatory affairs and regulator relationship management may be advantageous.
