the client is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Head of European Supply Chain Management for its largest division. In an international industrial environment, the role will drive the strategic and operational development of the European supply chain organization and support a cross-functional transformation by modernizing structures, processes, and international collaboration.
In this key position, you will lead four supply chain departments and provide disciplinary leadership to three team leads with approximately 15 employees. You will also hold overall functional responsibility for manufacturing planning across 15 plants in Europe. The role includes targeted supplier relationship development to ensure stability, performance, and supply security, with active operational intervention in critical deviations, including structured escalation management.
You will design, implement, and continuously optimize supply chain processes in an international production setting, and initiate and steer strategically relevant projects with strong execution. You will actively advance digitization and continuous improvement of central processes, including automated procurement solutions and optimization of the S&OP process, while partnering closely with key interfaces such as purchasing, logistics, IT, customer relations, and national and international plants. The role is expected to be supported by a completed degree in engineering or business, multi-year supply chain leadership experience (ideally in high-volume, high-variant production), expertise in supplier management, supply chain improvement, planning, and modern SCM methods and tools, proven capability in process and KPI-based management systems, and strong leadership and communication skills, with fluency in German and English.
